‘Nuisance’ Wildlife – A Portrait

Beginning  April 1, 2011, The VegOut  Restaurant at 646 Richmond Street, London Ontario will be hosting a new photographic exhibit portraying  three common wildlife species that are negatively labeled as 'nuisance'.

The exhibit is part of a broader campaign to foster a greater appreciation for common wildlife and promote a policy of peaceful co-existence.

White-tailed Deer, Double-crested Cormorants and the North American Coyote have been chosen to highlight the plight of ‘nuisance’ wildlife in Ontario. All three have been negatively portrayed as 'nuisance' and have suffered from brutal lethal government management programs.

The photographic exhibit accompanies a speaker series on living with wildlife.

The first event is scheduled for May 3, 2011 in Clinton, Ontario where guest speakers, author and naturalist Hope Ryden and Christine Schadler of Project Coyote will discuss the North American Coyote. The town of Clinton is located in the middle of the largest livestock production area in Ontario and is also at the centre of the coyote debate.

The photographic exhibit runs until April 30, 2011 at VegOut Restaurant.
